In sector Providing Energy, we are currently developing coal mining infrastructure with railway system & coal terminal in Kalimantan. There are two scenario:
1. The railway is starting from various coal mines in Central
Kalimantan to South Kalimantan, near our port in Tanah Laut district.
2. The railway from coal mines to coal terminal in Central
Kalimantan.

Railway & Coal Terminal Project has quantified the potential growth in coal transport demand to new port terminal via railway system. This demand is predicted to increase significantly over the 20 years.

This project include:

- Railway Coal system 400km from Cental Kalimantan to South Kalimantan; or around 200km in Central Kalimantan.
- Railway be required 12 trip per day X 1 loco with 58 wagon @ 81 tons
- Railway can handling 20 million tons per year, operating diesel (coal) hauled trains
- Port Terminal system with capacity 30 million tons per year
- Port Terminal can accept vessel 130,000 tons with 2 berth

The assessment of the access charges for transporting coal from the various mines has indicated that significant reductions in charges can be anticipated as the tonnage on the railway line increases with the opening of new mine developments.

We estimated by this projects, the access charge will reduce significantly.
